It’s not how big the bookstore is, it’s how you use it. Meet Jeff Mayersohn, a former technology executive with a passion for the written word, who bought the previously drowning Harvard Book Store and turned it into a profitable business. He bridges the inventory gap with Amazon using the Espresso Book Machine: a compact digital press that can print nearly five million titles including Google Books that are in the public domain, as well as out-of-print titles. It produces beautiful, perfectly bound paperbacks indistinguishable from books produced by major publishing houses. Customers have the option of ordering in-store and online, and can even have their order delivered via bicycle.
