Pop-up Shopping in Baltimore

A curated list of interesting makers that caught our eye — Baltimore's Confirmed stock

Confirmed Stock, the inventive menswear-focused retailer, had its first ever pop-up market last spring at the 2640 Space on St. Paul Street in Baltimore. Organized by Neal Shaffer and Drexler, their mission was, and still is, to “present an expertly curated and gentlemanly selection of menswear, vintage goods, and dry goods largely unavailable anywhere else in the area.” The vendors for the event were carefully selected to provide only the highest quality (and mostly American-made) goods, and classic pieces that will last a lifetime. Planning to pop-up again soon, “Confirmed Stock exists to encourage and promote a mindful approach to commerce. We believe that hard-earned money is best spent, whenever possible, on well-made products produced by entrepreneurs, makers, and innovators. And we’ve seen a need for this to be brought to our city in a tangible way.” says Shaffer. Although a new concept to Baltimore, Confirmed Stock is inspired by other successful events in major cities, such as Gentleman’s Reserve in Vancouver, NorthernGRADE in Minneapolis, and** **_Pop-Up Flea _in New York City. “We’re looking to move the landscape forward for men’s style in Baltimore,” says co-organizer Chris Walbert. The products featured at Confirmed Stock can’t be found anywhere else, making the temporary shop all the more tantalizing. Participating brands included Almanac Industries, Corter LeatherGreenwich Vintage Co.Lumina Clothing, and more.
